National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Award
Social Services received a NACo award for "Family NET". Family NET is an intergration of Mental Health and Social Services for young children, youth and families created by Catawba County Social Services and Mental Health Services for Catawba County that began on July 1, 204. The intergrated network was created in response to the State of North Carolina's Mental Health Reform initiative. |

Ralph W. Ketner Productivity Award
Catawba County Social Services Director Bobby Boyd and Mental Health Director John Hardy received a Ketner Award from the North Carolina Association of CountyCommissioners (NCACC) for their leadership in the development of Family NET, which provides consolidated services for families and children. The NCACC presents only ten Ketner Awards across the state in any year and they are awarded to programs judged to the best examples in North Carolina of creativity, innovation and commitment to improving county services. |
